Partial Hospitalization Program

At Pasadena Villa Outpatient, our partial hospitalization program (PHP) delivers intensive, structured mental health treatment during the day while clients return home each evening. PHP is designed for individuals experiencing worsening mental health symptoms, those stepping down from residential care, or anyone who needs a higher level of outpatient support to regain stability and build toward lasting recovery.

Insurance + Payment

In-network with most major insurance providers.
We also accept out-of-network benefits from additional carriers, and private pay is available for those who prefer to pay directly. Our North Carolina and Virginia locations are participating providers in the VA Community Care Network, expanding access to care for eligible veterans. Contact our admissions team to verify coverage or learn more about payment options.

Please note we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

FAQs

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a structured, full-day level of outpatient mental health treatment that runs Monday through Friday. With approximately 30 hours of therapeutic support each week, PHP delivers intensive clinical care while clients continue living at home with evenings and weekends free.
PHP offers a higher level of intensity, with approximately six hours of structured programming per day, five days a week. IOP provides a flexible step down, typically meeting three to five days per week for about three hours per day. Both are outpatient levels of care, meaning clients return home after each session.
Family involvement is often a meaningful part of recovery. We offer family therapy sessions, educational programming for loved ones, and guidance on how families can best support the treatment process. The level of family involvement is shaped by each client’s preferences and clinical needs.
The length of stay in PHP varies by individual and is guided by each client’s progress, personal goals, and clinical needs. Our care team works collaboratively with clients to determine the most appropriate duration, adjusting as recovery unfolds.
